How Consistent Capital Cut Processing Turn Times by 25% with Nexys
Consistent Capital moved loans, appraisals, and credit into one customizable platform, and its processing team cut turn times 25% over the past year.

"You're not going to find a better, more complete and robust solution than what Nexys has to offer from day one."

Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder
The challenge
Consistent Capital lends to real estate investors across ground-up construction, fix and flip, bridge, DSCR, and multi-family. Lenders in this space rarely run the same process twice, and the team needed software that bent to their workflow, not the other way around.
"No two lenders do things the exact same in our space and you need to have an interface that allows you to really customize your workflow that works for you, and Nexys provided that."
Whit McCarthy, Chief Executive Officer, Consistent Capital
Their previous loan origination system did not. It offered little room to customize and ran on an old platform with old logic. The team wanted a newer system that could support dynamic workflows and bring in every third-party report the process needs. Clean data mattered just as much, because a strong data infrastructure is what lets an organization run efficiently. They also wanted a voice in where the platform went next.
What changed with Nexys
Switching was the hard part. Whit calls changing loan origination systems his single greatest fear. Consistent Capital's loan data runs to a thousand-some data points across the parts of a loan, and every one had to land in the right place.
"My single greatest fear was making an LOS transition... the team was incredibly hands-on and supportive with helping us migrate and transition all of our data, all of our historical information."
Whit McCarthy, Chief Executive Officer, Consistent Capital
Nexys also helped build out the infrastructure the company needed before it started working in the system, and the team moved over gradually until it was ready to switch.
Now the work lives in one place. Processing a loan means ordering an appraisal, running credit and background checks, and clearing underwriting items, and the team does all of it inside Nexys with a click instead of moving between systems. Whit calls that a non-negotiable. The loan and data tapes the team needs once a loan closes and is sold are created in the system too.
Each role has its own screens, so a loan moves from one person to the next with clear responsibilities at every step. Pricing is Whit's favorite feature. He spent a long stretch pricing every DSCR loan by hand for the sales team, which does not scale. Pricing in Nexys took that off his plate.
On AI, Consistent Capital's view is clear: it should support the process and leave people in charge. The team is still exploring what AI can do inside Nexys.
"I'm a big believer that AI just needs to be supportive and enabling of a better process flow, not taking it over. The human element is incredibly important to us and the way we operate."

The results
Consistent Capital runs on the Entrepreneurial Operating System, which sets quarterly goals the company calls rocks. The processing team's rock was to cut turn times by 25%. It met that goal over the past year through workflow optimization and platform integrations in Nexys.
"It's just us continuing to focus on optimizing the workflow in Nexys, which I think comes by us having that customization capability, the integrations... which has helped us reduce it to that time frame."
Whit McCarthy, Chief Executive Officer, Consistent Capital
Whit recommends Nexys to other lenders all the time. He calls it a system purposely built for the space, and says a new lending company will not find a more complete solution from day one. It also keeps growing with the team.
"You can keep it within that first kind of implementation format or you can continue to take your Honda Civic and go buy all the different Ferrari parts and turn this into something completely different over time."
